Strawberries and Cream Jello Salad

This is a simple and cheap dessert, and it's packed with all kinds of strawberry goodness!  It only has four ingredients!  This salad would make a great addition to your Easter dinner spread.  I'll go through the steps of how to make this dish first, and then I'll give you the recipe!  So, here goes..

1.  To begin making this dessert, just prepare a 6 oz. package of strawberry Jello, according to package directions.

2.  Then, you'll want to add your fresh or frozen strawberries.  You can skip this step if you'd like, and you can add as many or as few strawberries as you want.  If you're adding strawberries, make sure to slice the strawberries into 1/4-1/2 inch slices.  If you want to add some extra sweetness, you can sprinkle the strawberries with sugar.  Add the strawberries to the Jello.

3.  Put the Jello with the strawberries mixed in in the fridge to let set and become firm.  The package says to leave it in the fridge for 4 hours, but because of the added strawberries, it may possibly need to set for at least an extra hour.  I let mine set for 5 1/2 hours, just to be sure.  Here's what it should look like after it has set.

4.  After removing Jello from the fridge, Mix softened cream cheese and thawed whipped topping together in a large mixing bowl.  Beat mixture with an electric mixer until it is well incorporated.  You want it to have the consistency of sour cream. It should look like this when you're done mixing:

5.  Spread cream cheese and whipped topping mixture over the top of the Jello.  I had a little bit of the topping left over.  You can put as much or as little of the topping on the Jello as you'd like.  The mixture is all up to you.

As you serve the Jello salad, the topping with get nice and incorporated with the Jello like this:

Enjoy!

Now that I've showed you the steps, here's the recipe:
